8월21일 본선…한국예선, 유럽예선 진출자 같은 날 경합 벌여

한국 신진 성악가들의 등용문인 대구성악콩쿠르가 개최 40회를 맞아 국내외에서 대구국제성악콩쿠르로 격상돼 치러진다. 국외에서는 첫 국제콩쿠르다.

먼저 한국음악협회 대구시지회(이하 대구음악협회)가 주최하는 제40회 대구국제성악콩쿠르는 다음달 5~6일 달서아트센터에서 한국예선을 거친 뒤,

다음달 21일 대구콘서트하우스 그랜드홀에서 본선 경연을 치른다.
대상자에게는 문화체육부장관상이 수여된다.  수상자에게는 대구오페라하우스 주·조역 데뷔의 특전이 주어지며 대구콘서트하우스에서 콩쿠르수상자음악회를 개최할 기회도 준다.
한국예선 참가 신청 등 자세한 사항은 대회 공식홈페이지(www.daegumusic.com)를 참고하거나 대구음악협회 사무국(053-656-7733)으로 문의하면 된다.
앞서 제40회 대구국제성악콩쿠르 유럽예선은 지난 9~10일(국내시간) 양일간 이탈리아 밀라노 베르디 국립음악원 푸치니 홀에서 열렸다.
이날 경연에는 이탈리아, 영국, 독일 등 유럽의 젊은 성악가들과 중국, 한국 유학생들이 참가해
열띤 경쟁을 펼친 결과 모두 6명이 본선 진출에 성공했다.
유럽본선은 한국본선과 같은 날(8월21일 대구콘서트하우스 그랜드홀)에 치러진다.
방성택 대구음악협회장은 “세계의 재능있는 성악인을 발굴하는 이번 유럽예선은 세계 콩쿠르연맹 인준을 위한 첫걸음이기에 더욱 의미가 있다”고 밝혔다.

The Daegu Sungak Competition, the gateway for emerging Korean vocalists, will be upgraded to the Daegu International Sungak Competition at home and abroad to mark the 40th anniversary of the event. It is the first international competition abroad.

First of all, the 40th Daegu International Music Competition hosted by the Daegu City Branch of the Korea Music Association (hereinafter referred to as the Daegu Music Association) will be held at the Dalseo Art Center from the 5th to the 6th of next month,

The finals will be held at the Grand Hall of the Daegu Concert House on the 21st of next month.
The Grand Prize will be awarded to the Minister of Culture and Sports. Winners will be given the privilege of debuting in the main and assistant roles of Daegu Opera House and will also be given the opportunity to hold a concert for the winners of the competition at the Daegu Concert House.

Earlier, the 40th Daegu International Music Competition European qualifying round was held at the Puccini Hall of the Verdi National Conservatory of Music in Milan, Italy, for two days from the 9th to the 10th (local time).
Young European vocalists such as Italy, England, Germany, and Chinese and Korean students participated in the competition
As a result of the heated competition, a total of six players succeeded in advancing to the finals.
The European finals will be held on the same day as the Korean finals (August 21 at the Grand Hall of the Daegu Concert House).
Bang Sung-taek, president of the Daegu Music Association, said, "This European preliminary round to discover talented vocalists in the world is all the more meaningful because it is the first step toward confirming the World Competition Federation."
